What To Bring for 3D Printing
Your STL File: To 3D print using any of the following 3D printers, your design must be in a .STL file format. Please bring your .STL file with you to the MakerSpace and a team member will assist with printing your design.
What To Know About 3D Printing
Software & Resources: A simple 3D modeling resource is Tinkercad.com. If you’re looking for pre-designed 3D prints, search Thingiverse.com.
Quota/Limitations: Use of the free filament provided in the MakerSpace is limited to 200 grams per person per week. If print weight exceeds these amounts, you must provide your own filament. When supplying filament, please ensure to note the filament diameter size based on the equipment. Filament can also be purchased at the Syracuse University Campus Store. Note, manufacturing products for commercial use is prohibited and multiple copies must be approved by a team member. Additional policies apply and can be found on our Policies page.
