Laser Engraving Guidelines
What To Bring for Laser Engraving
Your Design File
To prepare your design for laser engraving:
- Bring a black and white image file (such as a .PNG or .JPG).
- Our team can help convert it into an Adobe Illustrator (.AI) file for the laser engraver.
- What appears in black will be etched (engraved) onto your item. Use high-contrast black and white images for best results.
- Cut lines (for cutting through material) must be set to 0.001 pt in Adobe Illustrator.
Items to Engrave
User must supply item/materials to laser engrave/cut. Permitted materials include:
- Glass
- Wood
- Anodized aluminum
- Anodized stainless steel
- Paper
- Cardboard
- MDF/mat board
What To Know About Laser Engraving
Quota/Limitations: Manufacturing products for commercial use is prohibited. Limited to six household items per person per week (i.e., glassware, cutting boards, etc.) or up to six 12″x24″ sheets of paper/cardboard/matboard for projects. A team member must be present when using. Additional policies can be found on the Policies page.
Restrictions: Plastics and acrylics are not permitted.
